What to Expect: Guarne – Hummingbird Paradise: Begin your adventure in the town of Guarne, known for its thriving population of hummingbirds. Visit a private finca where you'll witness these stunning birds in their natural habitat, feeding on nectar from a variety of colorful flowers. It’s a truly magical experience as dozens of hummingbirds surround you. Rionegro: Next, we’ll head to Humedal La Amalita in Rionegro, a key birdwatching location that’s home to a rich diversity of waterfowl and migratory species. Stroll through the wetland’s peaceful trails and observe herons, kingfishers, and various species of ducks as they thrive in this protected ecosystem. La Ceja – Rio Piedras is an Andean River located in the middle basin of the Cauca River, in the central cordillera. Its altitude is around 2,000 masl; therefore, we can see birds from high and middle lands, especially tanagers, flycatchers, seedeaters, and the signature bird of that ecosystem, the Torrent Duck.
