Service Description

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Jardín, one of the most picturesque towns in Antioquia and a true paradise for birdwatchers. Departure at 6:00 a.m. Our transportation service will pick you up directly from your hotel for a scenic journey southwest of Medellín to the beautiful town of Jardín, Antioquia. Along the way, we will stop for breakfast before arriving in Jardín around 9:30 a.m. Our first destination will be the famous Oilbird Cave, home to the fascinating Oilbirds (Guácharos), one of the most unique nocturnal bird species in the world. After crossing a stunning hanging Tibetan bridge over the river, you will have the opportunity to observe and photograph these incredible birds in their natural habitat. This area also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities for many other species, including the Torrent Duck, Red-bellied Grackle, Oropendolas, Carriquíes (Mountain Toucans), Red-headed Barbet, and several endemic and rural bird species. Around midday, we will enjoy lunch before continuing in the afternoon to one of the highlights of the tour: observing and photographing the spectacular Andean Cock-of-the-rock and other colorful species of the cloud forest. Later, we will take a relaxing walk through Jardín, recognized as one of the most beautiful towns in South America, known for its colorful architecture, traditional atmosphere, and breathtaking mountain scenery.
