Salento & Cocora Valley Birdwatching Tour Discover one of Colombia’s most iconic birdwatching destinations on this unforgettable tour through Salento, Quindío, and the breathtaking Cocora Valley. Surrounded by lush cloud forests, towering wax palms, and incredible biodiversity, this experience is perfect for nature lovers, birders, and photographers alike. Led by an expert English-speaking birding guide, you’ll explore prime habitats where you can spot a wide variety of Andean and cloud forest bird species, while learning about their behaviors, calls, and ecosystems. Once there, we will begin birdwatching, first hiking 1 km to reach the Quindío River and then returning to begin the ascent from 2,400 meters above sea level. We will hike 5 km along a quiet road with access to different levels of the forest, until we reach La Montaña farm at 2,990 meters above sea level. From there, after a snack, we will return along the same route to the starting point of the hike to take the jeep back to Salento. We take care of every detail so you can fully enjoy the experience.
